History: Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases was called ¡°Ocular Fundus Diseases¡± when it was established in September, 1985. Till now, 22 volumes had been published. Before the journal changed its name in June, 1993, it was directed by Ministry of Health and sponsored by West China Hospital of Sichuan University. In February, 1993, the journal was accepted by Chinese Medical Association and changed its name into Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases. From then on, the journal has been directed by China Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by Chinese Medical Association, and published by West China Hospital of Sichuan University. The first Editor In Chief was Professor Chenren LUO, and now is Professor Mi YAN. The first Managing Director was Professor Chunyi WEI, and now is Professor Junjun ZHANG.
Tenets: Rapidly spread the new information of researches of defect of visual sense and intraocular neurovascular structures and systemic diseases, duly communicate the achievements of experimental investigation and clinical works, regard the readers as the center, and promote the development of academic subject of ocular fundus diseases and the communication with the overseas specialists.
Readers: Specialists in ophthalmology in hospitals and medical institutes and other medical professionals interested in ocular fundus diseases.
